( a)  ใช้ “ON” สำหรับสิ่งของ เช่นเราวางสิ่งของไว้บนที่ต่างๆ

- There is a picture on the wall.

- The glass is on the table .

b) ใช้ “IN” เพื่อที่แสดงให้เห็นว่าสิ่งของบุคคล อยู่ในสถานที่ นั้นๆ

- Mother is in the kitchen.

- The money is in the red box.

c)  ใช้ “ABOVE  ”ใช้เมื่อเราต้องการแสดงบางสิ่งซึ่งอยู่เหนือหรือด้านบน สิ่งของอีกหนึ่งสิ่ง

- The helicopter is flying above that building.

- The lamp is hanging above the table.

d)  ใช้ “UNDER”ใช้เพื่อแสดงบางสิ่งบางอย่างที่อยู่ข้างล่างสถานที่หรือสิ่งของ

- She is standing under the tree.

- The mouse is hiding under the carpet.

e)  ใช้ “IN FORNT OF ”ใช้เมื่อสิ่งของหรือบุคคล ที่อยู่ด้านหน้าของอีกสิ่งหนึ่ง หรืออีกคนหนึ่ง

- The tree is in front of the house.

- There is a lady in front of me in the queue.

  f)   ใช้ “BEHIND”ใช้เมื่อสิ่งของหรือบุคคล ที่อยู่ด้านหลังของอีกสิ่งหนึ่ง หรืออีกคนหนึ่ง

-Sheila stood behind her mother on the bus.

-The post office is just behind my house.
